This year marks the 60th anniversary of a book that still fascinates me: Thomas Kuhn's "The structure of scientific revolutions", originally published in 1962. With this book, Kuhn's historization of science reached the general public, which used the phrase "paradigm shift" for almost any break in almost any area of modern life.
