I finally registered in Bluesky, the new open source social media platform created by Jack Dorsey, one of Twitter's founders, and I started to try its features. There's a lot of people from academia using it who started to reject the use of Twitter after Musk bought the platform and turned it into X.
Meta, the mother company of Facebook and Instagram, launched almost a month ago "Threads", a direct competitor from what we used to know as Twitter. Even though is very nice, at a user experience level, I share some reflections regarding why I haven't done much more than registering.
